Q: How do I place an Order?
A: Placing an order with Latham Jenkins is simple. We do not ask for any money up front nor ask for credit checks to be carried out before granting you an account. This is because the majority of establishments we deal with are schools, colleges and universities.
Fill in our order form (You can download this along with our brochure on our DOWNLOAD PAGE) This order form contains information on our product codes, product measurements, prices and delivery and is a useful tool when placing your order. Some schools may want to use their own ordering system/form and this is also acceptable. You can then place your order by a few methods:

Q: How long will my order take?
A: We endeavour to despatch all our orders within one calendar month of receipt but it really depends on a number of criteria, for example, we may have already planned to despatch existing orders to the London area next week – If you’re from this area and we have the necessary space on the vehicle, you will receive your goods within 1 week of placing your order. On the other hand if we receive your order on the same day as the London Area vehicle has already been despatched, it could be a further 3 weeks before we schedule another delivery in that area. There are also other criteria to take into consideration such as remote areas, the size of your order, the type of furniture ordered etc. BUT in general 99% of our orders will be despatched within 1 calendar month of receipt. Our standard furniture delivery charges apply to UK Mainland addresses only. Additional charges may apply to furniture deliveries to the Isle of Wight.. When an order contains more than one furniture item, all furniture items will be delivered at the same time as soon as all items are available. PLEASE NOTE: Delays can occasionally occur due to unforeseen factors outside our control. Latham Jenkins Limited shall be under no liability for any delay or failure to deliver the products within estimated timescales.
Q: How much is Delivery and Installation?
A: If your establishment is situated in mainland England, Wales or Southern Scotland, our standard delivery charges apply. STANDARD DELIVERY CHARGE – Orders that total over £600.00 (excluding VAT) will be delivered and installed FREE OF CHARGE: For orders totalling less than £600.00 (exc VAT) a delivery and installation charge of £45.00 (+VAT) is applicable. Deliveries to the Isle of Wight incurr extra charges – please enquire.
Q: How will my order arrive?
A: We only use our own vehicles and personnel to deliver and install our products. Our usual procedure is to inform our customers by e-mail, fax or phone at least 24 hours before we deliver your goods. Our staff will then deliver your items to your premises on the day/s specified. Our policy is to place/install the furniture where the customer requires it. We do not require caretakers or other school staff members to carry the items, our personnel are experienced craftsmen and installers and will not require assistance. Some of our items may need assembling on site but we will endeavour to put your items in place with the minimum of disturbance. Our Installation teams members have several years experience and all hold current CRB certification.
Q: How do I pay for my Order?
A: When we deliver your goods we will bring an invoice which states our terms as 7 days from the date of delivery. If the establishment has the authority to raise their own payments we ask that these terms be met wherever possible. We are a small business and prompt payment is must in the current economic climate. We do however, recognise that some establishments work with local authorities to raise payments and that our invoice may take a little longer to process because of this. If there is to be a delay in payment for any reason we appreciate being informed by the customer. To pay for your order we accept cheques made payable to Latham Jenkins Ltd and we also accept payment via the BACS system. Please call our Accounts Office on 01942 821 414 if you would like to pay via BACS – they will then pass on our bank details etc.
Q: I am interested in purchasing bespoke items and require a quotation – how do i get a quote?
A: Our bespoke service is second to none! All you have to do is call us on 01942 821 414 with a few details or fill in our CONTACT FORM and one of our team will be on hand to help. There is no charge for our quotation service. Sometimes we may need to visit your premises to carry out estimating and planning work to ensure that we get the correct measurements for your items but this will be arranged at the customers request and at a time suitable for the customer.
